It is well known that the WHO has officially declared the COVID-19 coronavirus a pandemic. The social isolation adopted to control the effects of the virus has impacted the routine of everyone on the planet and significant changes in our way of life are anticipated after the pandemic. One of SBrT's greatest values is the physical interaction between its participants, whether to discuss research or to socialize. Although we wish and expectations are that the pandemic will be controlled by the start of SBrT'2020, it is very likely that there will still be restrictions on travel and social contact or that some attendees will still feel unsafe in traveling. In order to preserve the health and well-being of all attendees, which are our main concern at this moment, it was decided to hold the SBrT'2020 in a 100% virtual format, from 22 to 25 November 2020. Despite the physical separation, we expect a great participation this year and we will work hard and use the latest technological resources to provide participants with an experience as close as possible to the face-to-face format, and with the same quality. The program will include plenary talks, panels, short courses and technical sessions on the topics normally covered by the event. Registration fees will be reduced, aiming to increase audience and dissemination of knowledge, especially for students. We count on everyone's understanding and look forward to our virtual meeting in November.
