The symposium of the Brazilian Society of Telecommunications (SBrT) in the city of São José dos Campos will mark the return of the symposium to the city after 38 years. The city hosted the SBrT in its third edition in 1985, organized by the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA) and coordinated by Prof. Eduardo W. Bergamini. The state of São Paulo has often hosted successful editions of the event, including: 2005 - SBrT/Campinas - SP; 2014 - ITS/São Paulo - SP; 2017 - SBrT/São Pedro - SP. It is therefore with the best expectations that we apply to host SBrT 2023 in São José dos Campos.

The year 2023 coincides with the widespread implementation of 5G systems in Brazil. The 5G system is expected to enable the emergence of various applications and the integration of systems and environments (land, air and space). In addition, new demands are expected to arise from these new applications. Based on this scenario, the theme of the symposium was "Beyond 5G (B5G) systems: Integration between land, air and space.”

SBrT'23 will be held at the São José dos Campos Technology Park, the largest event center in the region, with rooms and auditoriums with all the necessary infrastructure, capable of hosting up to 800 people. The infrastructure of São José dos Campos, combined with the excellent structure of the event venue, offers SBrT'23 participants a welcoming and pleasant environment, allowing research topics to be discussed and good business to be done among event participants, whether they are students, researchers or entrepreneurs.
